Overmolding Capabilities
Aptiv Interconnect offers specialized cable assembly overmolding, employing highly durable materials for maximum resistance to harsh environmental conditions, abrasion, and sterilization. Our capabilities extend to molding a variety of elastomeric rubbers, including neoprene, EPDM, silicone, nitrile, and Viton/FKM, as well as thermosets such as GRE (Glass Reinforced Epoxy), Glass-filled PU, and Glass-filled nylon. For rapid, cost-effective prototyping, Aptiv provides 3D printed molding. Our 3D printed mold cavities facilitate improved fit and function, allowing for easier design modifications.
