Product Overview

M39029 Electrical Contacts

MIL-DTL-39029 (now superseded by SAE-AS39029) is a foundational military specification that governs the general requirements for crimp and solder terminated electrical contacts used in a broad range of military-standard and commercial equivalent connectors. These contacts are the critical conductive elements within multi-pin connectors, designed to provide reliable electrical connections in demanding military, aerospace, and industrial applications. M39029 contacts are typically supplied as loose, removable pin and socket contacts, allowing for flexible assembly, modification, and repair in the field. Aptiv Interconnect produces these contacts to exacting standards, ensuring interchangeability and consistent performance across various connector platforms such as MIL-DTL-28748, MIL-DTL-38999, MIL-DTL-26482, MIL-DTL-5015, and MIL-DTL-24308. The specification covers a wide array of contact types, including signal, power, thermocouple, coaxial, and twinaxial.
