Product Overview

Coax and Triax Cables

Aptiv Interconnect manufactures specialized coaxial and triaxial cables, designed for transmitting high-frequency signals with minimal loss and excellent protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI). We produce both cable types with a central conductor, a dielectric insulator, and at least one outer conductive shield, all encased in an outer jacket. Aptiv Interconnect offers a range of these cables known for greater bandwidth and less interference. Coaxial cables are widely used in a variety of markets including: aerospace, defense, industrial and automotive markets, supporting applications such as radar systems, satellite communications and avionics, military communications, weapon systems and surveillance equipment. Triaxial cables are employed in more demanding applications such as precision instrumentation, satellite payload systems and electronic countermeasures where superior interference rejection is critical. Their robust construction and shielding properties make them essential in environments where signal integrity is paramount.

Features and Benefits

  • Signal Integrity: Both coaxial and triaxial cables are designed to minimize signal loss (attenuation) and maintain consistent impedance, ensuring high-quality signal transmission over long distances.
  • Robust Construction: Built with durable materials and precise manufacturing to withstand mechanical stress, including bending and physical damage.
  • Superior Interference Rejection: Triaxial cables, with their additional shield, offer enhanced rejection of external electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio-frequency interference (RFI) compared to coaxial cables.
  • High Bandwidth: Exceptional high bandwidth performance from DC to GHz with superior signal integrity.
  • Protection Against External Noise: The shielded design prevents electrical noise from affecting the transmitted signal and reduces electromagnetic radiation emission from the cable itself.
  • Versatile Applications: Support a variety of industries and applications including aerospace, defense, industrial, medical and automotive industries.
  • Environmental Suitability: Available with various jacket materials and constructions to suit indoor, outdoor, and harsh environmental conditions.
  • Customization Options: We offer custom configurations for impedance and frequency ranges.
