Aptiv Interconnect specializes in hermetically sealed interconnect solutions, including connectors and complete enclosures, for applications where a robust, air-tight seal is critical. These solutions are designed to prevent damaging particles and environmental elements from affecting sensitive electronic equipment. Aptiv's hermetic products are built to withstand extreme conditions and are utilized in military, aerospace, and space applications.

- Turnkey Solutions: Aptiv provides integrated hermetic packaging and assemblies, including hermetic microwave packaging and cover assemblies with specialized materials like microwave absorbers.
- Superior Sealing Technology: Aptiv's hermetic multi-pin connectors utilize a proprietary Ceramax® ceramic dielectric compound. This material is impervious to crack propagation, which is the primary failure mode for conventional glass seals. The seals can last up to 20 years, compared to epoxy seals which can become defective in less than two years.
- Extreme Environmental Resilience: These enclosures and connectors can handle a wide range of challenging conditions. Specific products have an operating temperature range from -200°C to 200°C and a hermeticity rating of less than 1 X 10-9 cc/sec He at one atmosphere differential pressure.
- Customization and Material Versatility: Aptiv is able to produce hermetically sealed solutions from a variety of materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium. We join dissimilar metals through methods like explosion welding, vacuum brazing, and laser welding to create superior, high-performance products.
- Broad Application Range: These hermetic solutions are used in a variety of critical applications, including integrated microwave assemblies, IR systems, UAVs, and space applications. They are also available in configurations for high vacuum and can be laser-welded into flanges or fittings made of any material.
- High-Reliability Components: The connectors are constructed with BeCu (Beryllium-Copper) contacts, which offer high current-carrying capabilities. This ensures reliable electrical performance in demanding conditions.
