Aptiv Interconnect provides an extensive line of hermetically sealed vacuum flanges and feedthroughs. These products are engineered to maintain a superior seal and are ideal for applications where a robust, air-tight connection is critical to protect sensitive electronic equipment from damaging particles. The flanges are designed to be laser welded into device housings or vacuum chambers and are available in standard configurations or custom designs with single or multiple connectors on a single flange.
Features and Benefits
- Superior Hermetic Sealing: Aptiv's hermetic multi-pin connectors utilize a proprietary Ceramax® ceramic dielectric compound that is impervious to crack propagation, which is the number one failure mode in conventional glass seals. This technology provides a seal that is "more than air tight" and can last up to 20 years.
- Extreme Vacuum Performance: All vacuum feedthroughs and connectors are made with vacuum-compatible materials and are rated for a leak rate of less than 1 X 10⁻⁹ cc/sec He at one atmosphere of differential pressure.
- Material and Configuration Flexibility: These flanges can be manufactured from a full range of materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium. Aptiv's expertise allows for the joining of dissimilar metals through explosion welding, vacuum brazing, laser welding, and diffusion bonding.
- Laser Weldable Design: All Aptiv feedthroughs and connectors are designed to be laser welded directly into a flange or fitting in any material or configuration, which simplifies installation into a vacuum chamber or device housing.
- Comprehensive Product Line: Aptiv offers a variety of vacuum products including Sub-D, Micro-D, and RF feedthroughs on standard or custom vacuum flanges. Aptiv has the capability to produce any custom form factor you may require.
