Product Overview

Hermetic Micro-D Connectors

Hermetic Micro-D connectors are a specialized class of microminiature D-subminiature connectors designed to provide a gas-tight or pressure-tight seal through a panel or bulkhead while maintaining high-density electrical interconnections. Conforming to standards like MIL-PRF-83513, these connectors are critical in applications where sensitive electronics must be isolated from harsh external environments, including vacuum, high pressure, moisture, and extreme temperatures. Aptiv Interconnect, with our Ceramax® dielectric compound, is a leader in this field. These connectors combine the extreme miniaturization and high contact density of Micro-D connectors with robust hermetic sealing technologies, making them indispensable in space applications, IR systems, UAVs, integrated microwave assemblies, medical devices, and oil & gas exploration. They ensure reliable signal and power transmission across environmental barriers without compromising seal integrity.
